Lotions for Dry Skin Types

Looking for a nourishing yet lighter weight cream? Well, just because you have drier skin, it doesn’t mean you have to strictly look for a ‘day cream’; we have lotions for dry skin too!

In Korean skincare and cosmetics, lotions are considered as day creams. And just like creams, there are different lotions for different skin types! That’s right, including your skin!

Below are just a few of our recommendations for some lotions you could consider incorporating into your routine.

The Dr Belmeur CICA Emulsion is part of a unique derma-cosmetic skincare line which only uses plant-based ingredients in the products. This makes it ideal for all skin types, and in particular those with sensitive skin. This is because the structure of these plant-based extracts are very similar to the structure of our own skin cells, making it a lot easier for our skin to absorb. 

The key ingredient of this product, CICA also known as Centella Asiatica is an extremely popular and effective ingredient for soothing and healing sensitive skin. It is suitable for all skin types as well! Yup that’s right. ALL skin types; dry, combination, normal, oily. In the Dr Belmeur CICA Emulsion, the CICA extract works together with Panthenol (Vitamin B5) and Betaine to sooth, heal and protect the skin! Whereas Betaine, is more known for its soothing, softening and anti-aging properties. 

This lotion is ideal for those with dry sensitised skin who want to add a little more nourishment to they skin. The Niacinamide is also slightly brightening so time to say goodbye to scarring! It is also great for those with a compromised or damaged skin barrier as it helps to replenish and strengthen it as well!

The Mango Seed Lotion slightly lighter in texture compared to the Dr Belmeur Advanced CICA Emulsion. 

This lotion is more suited for drier skin types who aren’t as prone to redness or sensitivity. Its light, buttery texture is almost therapeutic, and it absorbs relatively quickly leaving your skin supple and soft. The Ceramide NP extract helps to create a barrier on the surface of the skin to trap in hydration and nutrients which also helping your skin to strengthen its barrier as well! Mango on the other hand is extremely moisturizing and nourishing so it’s a great for wintertime.

Snail and Bee Venom Extract…. A double punch of antioxidants! Snail Mucin Secretion Filtrate Extract is a hot ingredient in Korea and is known for its anti-aging, brightening and moisture retaining abilities. Bee Venom on the other hand is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent with relaxing properties. It helps to improve circulation and relax your facial muscles resulting in a tighter, smoother complexion. Plus, it’s good for soothing sensitised and irritated skin!

The Benton Snail Bee High Content Lotion helps to deliver much needed hydration, nutrients and soothing to the skin. The texture is on the thicker side so it is more for those with drier skin and for anyone looking for some gentle, pre-mature aging!
